My name is Colin and I am a Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a private practice in the suburbs of Cork City. I work with individuals and also with couples. I am fully accredited with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). My approach to therapy focuses on providing a safe, empathetic space where you can begin to tap into and use the knowledge, resources and resiliency within you. My role, as therapist, is to help you, the client, to access that inner strength and to identify and let go of the patterns and habits that no longer serve you in order to effect positive change in your life.
Though we are not always able to choose what happens to us, we can choose how we respond to it. The very fact that you are here now, reading this, means you have taken the first step toward overcoming whatever it is that you are dealing with at this point in your life and taking back control. If you feel that what I offer could be helpful, I provide a free initial consultation by phone where we can explore options available to you and hopefully begin our work together.
I provide one-to-one and couples counselling to adults currently experiencing various difficulties in their lives. Specialised areas of work include anxiety, experience of chronic illness and challenges arising from a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. I also work with a wide range of other issues including trauma, depression, relationships issues, communication and conflict, anger management, grief and loss, self-esteem issues and self-harm.
Bachelor’s degree (Hons), Counselling & Psychotherapy
